Travelling to a different part of the city lets you into different views, even different styles of fall planters. Saw this one outside the Roots store in uptown Toronto, and loved the pairing of the crimson mum and purple kale and cabbage.

The great thing about kale and cabbage in a planter is they will still look good after a couple of light frosts in November, unlike pots of impatiens. So, thanks, Roots store for this nice pot of Fall eye candy.

I love the kale combo with the mums, I wonder if you could harvest a big leaf now and then to add to a veggie stir-fry?
